Analyst Chat
Education only · our voice · free public data
Definition
A conversational assistant that answers questions about symbols, indicators, and portal data — grounded in the portal's own context.
How to read it
Analyst Chat is a conversational way to interrogate the portal. Ask it about a symbol, an indicator, a data stream, or what a panel is showing, and it responds grounded in the portal's data and context. It is faster than clicking through menus when you have a specific question, and it can synthesize across panels. Like everything here, it is an educational assistant — it explains and contextualizes rather than issuing recommendations.
How practitioners use it
Used as context among multiple indicators — never as a standalone signal to act.
Less common professional uses
Power move: ask the analyst to compare a Class-A continuity reading against its vendor counterpart and explain any gap. Caveat: verify anything decision-relevant against the underlying panel and its 'as of' timestamp — the chat is a guide, not the source of record. It answers within the portal's context; for concepts, the Learn Tutor often goes deeper and more pedagogically.
